Yes! Metaphorically nodding along to lots in here. So true about the phrase ‘guilty pleasure’!

I really love the idea of this and it’s truly something I have been pondering of late — “what do I do for fun?” Of course, *I have fun* but that’s in the course of the things I do for and with my sons. What do I do that’s fun just for me? Honestly, I am struggling to answer that question.

My youngest is 9-months old and going through that period where he wants to be glued to me so I feel like it may be a tricky point in time to find my personal pleasure. But on the other side of that, I’ve always wanted to take pottery classes 💗

Thanks for your comment. As I was writing this piece, I thought “Am I being too unhinged, even for Substack?” so it’s great to know it resonated. It isn’t easy to carve out time for our own joy but it is so beneficial to the whole family. It sounds like your soul is calling you to that pottery class.

Haha no, not at all! At least not in my opinion

Life is there to be lived, to find joy, and to experience pleasure. I think you could have even leaned into the eroticism more — perhaps some nude art classes next? 😆

But yes, I agree wholeheartedly with you xx
