The fact is it’s very easy for another 6 months, 12 months, years to go by and we still haven’t got round to doing that thing we used to love before motherhood: a weekend away with our girlfriends, restarting exercising again, or even just a simple quiet pleasure like reading fiction (not parenting books) at bedtime.
