I couldn't agree more and some of my favourite memories of being with my 3 boys have been off-grid camping and just being in the moment. There's something so great about taking away the 'trappings' of the modern world, and I use that word intentionally, as they really can create traps that we get stuck in, and get so entrenched we can't see the wood for the trees!
Yeah full disclosure we’ve only done it twice (at Fallowfield and Nethergong in Kent) and both times we stayed in bell tents that had a double bed for us and futon/camp bed things for the kids. We’ve also only been in summer so it’s not been cold at night. Give it a go, choose a kid-friendly site. This one had a sand pit, table tennis and a big tent full of toys. They even showed kids’ films once a week.
Decluttering!!! Always on my list now it's becoming a practice: one drawer, one corner, one shelf at a time. Then immediately to the charity shop or tip or next destination!
Yeah I’m always a bit reluctant to start but once I get going and build momentum, nothing is safe… the house looks bigger and feels lighter. Every object in our home has work associated with it. Get rid…
Love this take!! From a fellow triplet mama + 1 older sis!

Interesting! I’d love to love the idea of camping, but… could be convinced by glamping! Where did you go?

That sounds ideal! Thanks!
Where are you based?
NW London but I do know Kent well!
